اسم خاص یا proper noun در زبان انگلیسی به همراه قوانین استفاده

تعریف اسم خاص :

has-text-align-right">اسم خاص یا proper noun به اسامی افراد ، مکان، چیز یا ایدها اشاره دارد در ادامه به چند مثال توجه کنید.

مثال:

People: John, Mary, Barack Obama, Queen Elizabeth II
Places: New York City, London, Mount Everest, the Amazon rainforest
Things: the Mona Lisa, the Eiffel Tower, the Bible, the United States Constitution
Ideas: democracy, freedom, love, peace

نکات مهم در استفاده از اسم خاص proper noun

۱ – ما همیشه اسم خاص یا proper noun را با حرف بزرگ capital (حرف اول) مشخص می کنیم.

مثال :

I live in England.

من در لندن زندگی می کنم. در این جمله لندن اسم خاص است.

مگر I با حروف بزرگ نوشته نشده است پس چرا اسم خاص نیست؟

به طور کلی ما اسامی در زبان انگلیسی به دو دسته اسم عام (common noun) و اسم خاص (proper noun) تقسیم بندی می شوند. در ابتدای جمله تمام کلمه ها با حروف بزرگ شروع می شوند چه اسم خاص باشد و چه اسم عام.

Ali works for Sony.

علی برای شرکت سونی کار می کند. اگر گفتید کدام کلمه اسم خاص است؟

بله درست حدس زدید علی و شرکت سونی

چرا؟ چون با حرف بزرگ نوشته شده است.

۲ – مجاز استفاده از the قبل از اسم خاص (proper noun) نیستیم.

1: Mohsen went to beach.

2: The Mohsen went to beach.

کدام جمله اشتباه است؟ فکر کنید….

بله جمله دوم چرا؟ چون محسن اسم خاص است و قبل از اسم خاص ما نبایستی از The استفاده کنیم.

۳ – اگر نام کشور شامل (state, kingdom, republic) باشد ما مجاز استفاده از the قبل از اسم خاص (proper noun) هستیم
